The Content, Nature, and Transnature of Things: An Experientialist Perspective

Abstract

This article explores the intricate relationship between content, understood as the information and experience that shape our reality; nature, conceived as the fundamental and dynamic substrate of the material world independent of human intervention; and transnature, an emerging domain where the boundaries of the natural are transcended or profoundly modified by technology and consciousness. Adopting an experientialist perspective, it is argued that the understanding of these three concepts cannot be dissociated from the way human beings perceive, interact with, and give them meaning through their embodied and situated experience. It will analyze how our experience of nature shapes our understanding of content and how, in turn, the new forms of consciousness emerging in the field of transnature redefine our experience and conception of both. This approach seeks to offer a holistic view that integrates ontological, epistemological, and experiential dimensions in the exploration of these fundamental concepts in a constantly changing world.
