About the Journal

There are many multidisciplinary digital journals that we can find, Observatorio de las Ciencias Sociales en Iberoamérica (OCSI) offers a means of dissemination for students, independent researchers, members of the educational community all concerned with applying critical thinking in their different categories of studies.

At EUMED.NET we believe that the current editorial policy, criticized by many as undemocratic and unfair, does not facilitate the free dissemination of knowledge. However, we are aware of the importance of belonging to the highest category, which is why, without abandoning our principles, we will work to meet the demands that we encounter every day. For this we have a serious, responsible, professional work team, but, above all, excited and committed to this project to make this magazine go as far as possible with the help of equally professional and responsible authors.

We believe that current editorial policies hinder the dissemination of free thought, critical and independent thought. At the journal Observatorio de las Ciencias Sociales en Iberoamérica (OCSI), we want to offer an alternative for authors who do not feel comfortable with the complex editorial policies imposed on us and who want to make their work public, maintaining basic citation and writing standards. that allow a striking contribution to the intellectual world.

At OCSI, we will publish scientific works and essays that we consider can contribute to the improvement of knowledge. The texts must be original, not have been published in any media nor be in the process of publication, and compliance with this standard is the responsibility of the authors.

PEER EVALUATION

Our editor-in-chief receives the articles, assesses their adaptation to the magazine and the standards, subjects the text to anti-plagiarism software and consults the management. If the article passes these first steps, it will be assigned for evaluation.

The editor will be in charge of assigning two reviewers, members of the Scientific Committee, who will carry out the reviews of the works by the double-blind method, where the authors and reviewers are not known. Compliance with the magazine's standards, spelling, expression, graphics, illustrations, photos, etc. will be reviewed. The entire process is carried out through the OJS platform.

The members of the Scientific Committee are academics whose resumes are evaluated by our director to ensure the quality of the evaluations.

There may be cases in which corrections are requested to improve the quality of the articles; the same text will be subjected to a maximum of two rounds of review.

Once the article is definitively accepted, the editor moves on to the exclusive review of style, spelling, expression, review of additional materials (graphics, illustrations, photos of the authors), etc. If necessary, she will request new style corrections or additional material in better conditions from the authors (resolution of images, documents, etc.).

If the article is accepted, it will be layout and published in the corresponding issue of the journal. The publication certificate will be sent to the author.

We will try, as far as possible, to ensure that the period for issuing results does not exceed three months.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

OCSI is published quarterly (March, June, September, December).
