Abstract

The objective of this document is to make a description of the demographic dynamics of the Mexican company, that is, its birth, death and survival from 2008 to 2021, observing this behavior in the micro, small and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) themselves that were seen affected in their production and employment by the pandemic caused by COVID-19. It begins with the review of literature related to MSMEs and business demographics and subsequently, Mexican statistics produced by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) were compiled, which have served as a basis for carrying out a descriptive and numerical graphic analysis on the death, birth and survival of the company by size, the impact that there was on them by the pandemic and its effect on employment.
