Didactic conception of Cuban Political Unity as a principle of socialist sustainability

Abstract

This article refers to the unity of the Cuban nation and aims to offer the didactic conception of Cuban Political Unity as a principle of socialist sustainability, for which the Analysis and Criticism of Sources method was used, supported by the procedures of logical thinking: analysis and synthesis, induction-deduction, the logical and the historical, and modeling. The aforementioned aspiration led to the declaration of the main milestones related to Cuban Political Unity, which resulted in the founding of the following political and revolutionary groups in the country: the Cuban Revolutionary Party, the First Communist Party of Cuba, the Popular Socialist Party, the 26th of July Movement, the Revolutionary Directorate, the Integrated Revolutionary Organizations, the United Party of the Socialist Revolution of Cuba, and the Communist Party of Cuba. The features that typify the Cuban Communist Party and its role in relation to the unity expressed in the text Ideas, Concepts, and Guidelines are declared. Reference is made to the characteristics of socialism in the 21st century and to the main challenges facing the Cuban Revolution today. The didactic conception of Cuban Political Unity is based on the integration of three ideas that are interrelated and subordinate to it: the political-moral authority of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution, the popular role in decision-making and the influences of the social context, and the potentialities and regularities of this are explained.
