Abstract

The present investigation was developed in the UEB: Reynerio Almaguer Paz coffee roaster belonging to the Cuba Café Company, located in the Holguín municipality, Holguín province. This entity during the month of September 2022, failed to comply by 26% with de coffee production plan in the roasting process. In view of the above, it was decided to carry out this work with the objective of characterizing, diagnosing and projecting solutions to the aforementioned problem. As main results of the investigation, the causes that influenced the problem were determined: exposure to an unfavorable microclimate for workers, high levels of sound pressure in the process, deficient interrelation of lighting and vision factors, incorrect work method, biomechanical work intolerable and inadequate anthropometric design of the workplace. The causes were then verified and solutions were projected. In order to comply with formulated objective, the General Problem Solving Method and the essential techniques and tools were partially applied to it, as well as instruments related to Method Engineering and Ergonomics.
