Abstract

This article explores the innovative application of artificial intelligence (AI) in creative industries education, specifically through the use of the digital platform Midjourney, as a tool that generates images from textual descriptions. Its potential as a creative catalyst in the teaching and practice of representation techniques in creative industries such as illustration, photography and graphic design could enrich the creative experience. The main objectives of the article seek to create bridges that integrate AI with educational curricula, to enrich, take advantage of and explore the benefits of this tool. An implementation plan is proposed and its impact on the creative and technical skills of students, as well as teachers. Situating its use within contemporary educational and technological theories. Through a structured methodology, the development and improvement of culture and visual learning is proposed, promoting creativity to transform abstract concepts into visual representations. This study proposes two phases, exploratory and execution, the first includes the integration of AI in the academic curriculum, integrating it into the conceptual process of courses such as: Representation Techniques, Illustration and Photography. The second phase involves a training plan for educators and students on the use of the platform, as well as the substantial advantages and ethical consequences of this innovative technology in education.
