Abstract

Currently, changes in digitalization and the rise of university entrepreneurship seek to expand possible innovative and accessible financial solutions that overcome the limitations imposed by traditional banking models. One of these is digital banking, which allows operations in virtual environments, consolidating its position as a key player in the financial sector, offering services tailored to the specific needs of users, with greater operational flexibility and significantly reduced access requirements. This transformation represents a strategic opportunity for university students, particularly those focused on entrepreneurship, by facilitating access to financial resources that could boost the development and strengthening of initiatives. In this sense, digital banking can be considered an essential tool for achieving more inclusive and dynamic financing, by facilitating economic autonomy and fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within the educational community. This study takes a non-experimental and descriptive approach and aims to analyze the role of digital banking as a tool in strengthening university entrepreneurship. The research was conducted using a representative sample of students from the bachelor's programs in Urban Construction Management and Promotion, Software Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, and Computer Engineering at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMéx).
