Abstract

The opportunity to link agriculture with tourism has been considered a strategy to boost territorial development; given the possibility it offers of generating employment, income and improving the quality of life for both producers and the community. Hence, the purpose of this research was evaluating El Mamoncillo farm for its insertion in agrotourism and contribution to local development. To achieve this, both theoretical and empirical methods were used, as well as techniques and procedures that allowed trends and regularities to be revealed based on a characterization of the property, its economic valuation and the performance of an internal and external diagnosis. All this favored the proposal of actions for its agrotourism exploitation, mainly due to its agroecological productions and profitability; in addition to contributing to local development based on its own potential.
