Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the perceptions of SME owners toward the incorporation of circular economy practices. The research methodology used was quantitative, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design. A seven-dimensional instrument was developed and administered to a sample of 305 SME owners or managers in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. The results infer a partial predisposition among entrepreneurs toward this type of initiative. The presence of financial, legal, and commercial difficulties was also identified, complicating the adoption of sustainable practices among SMEs in the city, limiting this transition.
