Abstract
Climate change is one of the most important threats facing humanity due to human activities, significantly affecting natural resources, biodiversity, food security, and ecosystem sustainability. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that this phenomenon be viewed from an interdisciplinary perspective to understand the complex interrelationships between climate, living organisms, and food systems. Climate change has been observed to reduce biodiversity and deteriorate ecosystems and agroecosystems essential for food. The objective of this paper is to analyze the effects of climate change on biodiversity and food security. Despite these challenges, biodiversity plays an important role in mitigating climate change and food insecurity. Therefore, it represents a threat to humanity, and it is necessary to adopt multidisciplinary approaches that promote the conservation of natural resources.
