Abstract

Throughout history, teaching has been readapted according to the times. Today professors, especially those who teach at higher education and postgraduate levels, need to be prepared to face the demands of a globalized world. Identifying this process, not only from the perspective of providing students with the knowledge of their specific degree, but offering them a panorama that envisions a range of international opportunities that motivate them to expand their horizons beyond borders. The above would imply that not only students should be involved in internationalization processes, but also professors, in order to achieve a certain impact on their students. In other words, the professors’ intercultural experiences may promote the alumnus' learning processes, in some way. The international academic mobility, according to some research, opens a range of opportunities, both, in the student community and in the professor`s Academy; the project aims to identify the intercultural competences professors may have due to their mobility and to identify if they apply that knowledge into their teaching, in order to obtain a mobility professor´s profile. A self-developed questionnaire based on different scientific studies regarding the development of some intercultural competences was created as to carry out a reflection on the progress of these competences and its possible impact on the teaching work.
