Study of the type of leadership of women in companies and in the educational sector

Currently, in the maquiladora industries and the education sector, actions are carried out to achieve the well-being and development of employees and teachers. One of the main factors that must be analysed is leadership in conjunction with internal elements of the organization that impact the work environment, resulting in high or low productivity. The main objective of the research is to determine the leadership styles that predominate in women both in maquiladora companies and in educational centres in Baja California and their impact on the work environment. The methodology used is quantitative, cross-sectional and a questionnaire with 120 items on a Likert scale was used, consisting of the points: sociodemographic data and the following types of leadership styles: visionary, coaching, affiliative, democratic, helmsman and authoritarian as well as the work environment factors: work motivation, working conditions, psychosocial factors, employee training and employee integration. As a result, it is identified that the most compatible models of leadership styles of the six studied and that have the most positive impact on the work environment are the democratic leadership style and visionary leadership, with which it is possible to obtain a more favourable work environment. however, the leadership that predominates the most is the visionary.
