Abstract

Currently, organizations use Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a business strategy, which allows satisfying not only customers but all stakeholders of the organization, achieving benefits in the long, medium and short term. This requires feedback with stakeholders to achieve business sustainability. There are initiatives such as the Green Paper, the GRI Guide, and the AA 1000 Sustainability Assurance standard that can be used by the company to achieve better organizational performance. However, it is necessary to analyze in the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga the companies that apply CSR initiatives to propose strategies that contribute to continuous improvement. The methodology was descriptive and allowed a diagnosis to identify the current situation of CSR in the company, linking stakeholders. The results showed that the company carries out various actions such as contributing to the preservation of the environment, and promoting respect for labor and human rights, allowing it to obtain benefits such as recognition and positioning in the market. It is concluded that the company applies initiatives such as the GRI Guide and the Global Compact, which facilitates internal and external evaluation and monitoring of CSR actions in search of continuous improvement. It is recommended that the company link in greater proportion to the surrounding community of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga so that it participates in social investment actions.
