Abstract
The topic of vision problems affecting young people in their environment, and even more so in their academic performance, has been overlooked. Studies, eye care campaigns, and conferences on eye care and protection from the causes of the condition are scarce in Mexico's public and private sectors, as it is unusual to know the factors that determine the causes of ophthalmological damage. However, it is common to witness situations in which higher education students struggle with their schoolwork. Therefore, the study used seeks to understand the factors of the condition, observe the behavioral environment of university students and their academic performance, and find and implement solutions that help prevent ophthalmological problems and/or their impact on the school environment.
