Financial literacy involves several daily activities, promotes financial health and quality of life. It is composed of financial knowledge, attitude and behavior. The present study aimed to identify and analyze the financial literacy of employees of one of the Unimed Health Cooperatives located in southern Brazil. This is descriptive research that used a questionnaire, consisting of 41 questions, as a data collection instrument. It focused on the constructs of "financial knowledge" and "financial behavior". The research was based on quantitative data and used statistical techniques, which allow translating opinions and information into numerical values, in order to classify and analyze them. Ninety responses were obtained, the results of which demonstrated that employees have a satisfactory level of financial knowledge, paying attention to questions involving accounts and credit commitments whose high index alerts to the propensity for indebtedness. It is concluded that knowing these results is essential, as it shows that financial health directly affects the quality of life of individuals.
