Abstract

The Circular Economy is currently presented as an innovative alternative to the linear economic model, which allows the use of products, inputs and raw materials in order to maintain their utility and value, as well as the reduction and recovery of waste, offering a opportunity to reinvent tourist destinations, making them more sustainable and competitive. The tourist destination Holguín aims to contribute to promoting the Economic and Social Development Strategy of the country, which has as one of its first themes import substitution, so the objective of this research is to develop a procedure to implement the circular economy in the tourism that makes it possible to adopt ways of saving and reusing materials and resources through eco-innovative and sustainable manufacturing practices. For the development of the research, theoretical and empirical methods were combined, integrated with techniques and tools that made it possible to have a guide for the reuse of inputs and materials that contribute to the sustainability of tourism.
