Abstract
The use of various social communications implies an imminent danger regarding the fundamental rights of active users, that is; for those individuals who consent to access and for those who do not use them, whether they are individuals or legal groups. The present investigation aims to determine the empire that social media profess over human rights such as intimacy, freedom of expression, privacy, data protection, honor, credit, prestige, dignity, private life, image, identity, physical, mental and patrimonial (Local Legislature of the State of Mexico, 2024) in order to analyze the system that regulates it and expose the violation of human rights to which individuals who consent to the media in question are subjected. Social networks constitute an everyday means of communication, which is why excessive and instinctive use generates addiction; moral, psychological, and health damages due to manipulation, dissertations of antipathy, hatred, media harassment. Therefore, one of the duties of the State focuses on protecting the human rights of society since it is binding to safeguard the dignity and integrity of individuals, which is why public policies must be established that protect fundamental rights. Currently, data is not only provided on the networks, but also carried on smartphones, which makes the individual more vulnerable to being violated in their private life, putting not only their integrity but also their assets and even their lives at risk.
