This study proposes the analysis of the relationship between tolerance to ambiguity, perception of the environment, authentic leadership and performance in SMEs. The contribution of the study to the literature is to empirically examine the nature of the relationships of the entrepreneur's own variables and their influence on the final result of his company. With the aim of testing what he felt before, the collection of information was applied to 285 entrepreneurs and through a combination of the mediation analysis with the moderation of the direct effect of tolerance to ambiguity on performance through the perception of the environment, as well as a Direct effect, which is the function of authentic leadership, determines the relationships between the aforementioned variables.
