Abstract

Food traceability plays a fundamental role in business logistics by ensuring transparency and security in the food supply chain. The objective was to identify scientific production on the topic of food traceability in the Scopus repository. A bibliometric study was conducted, using the descriptor "food traceability" in the title, abstract, and keywords. No time range was specified for the search. An analysis of productivity indicators, as well as citation and co-occurrence of keywords, was performed using Bibexcel, Biblioshany, and VOSviewer software. The results reflected linear growth and a high degree of relevance in the production on the topic. Yujiao Wang is the most prolific author, and Massimo Labra the most cited. The journal with the highest impact is Food Control, with Italy standing out as the most cited country. The use of blockchain technology was found to be the main trend in traceability systems, demonstrating the growing development of these technologies in food sector control.
