Abstract
The objective of this study is to generate information on the contrast between theory and practice through the analysis of a case study. Using the deductive-inductive method, an interview is conducted with an expert in the automotive industry to understand the benefits of Industry 4.0 in the sector. The results highlight a lack of information regarding the concept of Industry 4.0, but demonstrate knowledge of its derivatives, such as additive manufacturing and cloud computing. Limitations include the possibility that, since the interview is individual, the interviewee may feel inhibited, which could affect the fluency of the conversation. The originality lies in the fact that, although the concept of Industry 4.0 is widely used in research, there are not many studies from grounded theory.
