An exhibition for reflection: La Desbandá of 1937.: From Malaga to the Pyrenees.

Abstract

An exhibition entitled La Desbandá de 1937. De Málaga a los Pyrenees has commemorated, eighty-five years later, the flight of the mostly civilian population through the only free way out of the city after being harassed by Italian fascist troops and the Spanish-Moroccans who ended up occupying Málaga on February 8, 1937. It has been possible through an agreement between the University of Málaga, the Secretary of State for Democratic Memory and the Unicaja Foundation, which has ceded a place in the Episcopal Palace during September and October 2022. The exhibition has also been taken to Almería, Granada and will continue touring other towns linked to the journey of refugees from Malaga.
