Abstract

The present article addresses the issue of gender-based violence and its impact on the socio-economic integration of women who have suffered violence, emphasizing the importance of access to employment and economic autonomy for their recovery and distancing from their aggressors. It presents explanatory theories of gender-based violence and highlights its negative impact on women's health and employability, as well as the concept of intersectionality in their labor vulnerability. The importance of socio-economic integration is emphasized as an integral part of the recovery and empowerment process for women affected by gender-based violence.

Author Biography

Natalia Rodríguez Valladolid, Universidad de La Rioja

She holds a Diploma in Social Work and a Degree in Labour Sciences. She is a lecturer at the University of La Rioja in the Department of Social Work. She has been a social worker for over 20 years at the City Council of Logroño, La Rioja, Spain. She currently holds a position in the same city council as an Equality Officer.
